Deborah J. Chambers, MD
Board Certified Family Physician
Doctor Chambers’ credentials demonstrate her consistent commitment to the achievement of excellence in all aspects of her professional career. After graduating as valedictorian from the Punxsutawney Area High School, she attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics (Magna Cum Laude) while obtaining a minor in Mathematics at the same time. Upon graduation, she was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation, where she worked in the Geophysics Department in oil and gas exploration. She earned a Masters in Geophysics from the University of Houston while working full time for Gulf Oil in Houston, Texas. She became an independent Geophysicist and traveled internationally to install geophysical software and train local scientists in proper usage of the software. During this period in her life, Doctor Chambers became interested in the field of medicine and began her transition into the medical field by volunteering at the Houston Hospice, working with terminally ill patients. At the same time, she began taking post-baccalaureate courses in order to obtain the necessary background to apply and sit for the entrance examination for Medical School. She obtained a Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a three-year residency program in Family Practice at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After successful completion of her residency program, she became Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and recently gained re-certification. Doctor Chambers is certified in cosmetic laser procedures as well as Botox treatments. Her patients and clients have the benefit of her vast knowledge of Family Medicine and Cosmetic Procedures as well as her many years of experience in clinical and hospital settings.

Gregory A. Chambers, MBA, CPA
Certified Laser Technician
Gregory Chambers’ credentials demonstrate his commitment to the achievement of excellence in all aspects of his professional career. After graduating from the Punxsutawney Area High School, he attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude). He then obtained employment as a Certified Public Accountant with a national “Big 10” CPA firm in Pittsburgh, PA. After moving to Houston, Texas, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University, while working full-time as Assistant Controller for a multi-national oilfield supply company, traveling internationally. He then entered the field of International Banking and Finance, where he located, structured and funded multi-million dollar loan packages to various industries. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, he became involved in the medical practice of his wife, Deborah J. Chambers, MD, as Practice Manager, and coordinated the opening and operation of three offices. He has taken several training classes in laser techniques and procedures, and is a Certified Laser Technician. He is currently taking post-baccalaureate classes in Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy, with plans to attend a Masters Program to obtain licensure as a Physician Assistant.

Traci L. Tyger, PA-C
Board Certified Physician Assistant
Traci L. Tyger’s credentials demonstrate her commitment to the achievement of excellence in all aspects of her professional career. After graduating from the Punxsutawney Area High School, she attended the University of Pittsburgh and Gannon University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Physician Assistant. Since graduation, she has become Board Certified and has successfully practiced in the medical field as a Physician Assistant with many personal and professional achievements. Currently, Traci is employed by Chambers Family Health, P.C. and the Laurels Spa & Cosmetic Laser Center. She has taken several training classes in laser techniques and procedures, and is certified in cosmetic laser procedures.

Holly Johns
Salon Owner
Holly is the owner of Designing Minds Salon and Day Spa located at 720 Main Street, Clarion, Pennsylvania.

Holly attended the Clarion County Career Center while still in high school and then worked as a stylist for four years before moving to California to take advanced training at the ABBA Academy and working as an educator with Paul Mitchell Systems. She then returned to the Clarion area and opened Designing Minds, which has been in operation for 18 years. Holly has worked with several color companies including Schworzkopf, Vitality, and currently BES, an Italian company whose initials stand for Beauty And Science.

Holly is a member of the BES artistic team, traveling annually to Milan, Italy, to preview and receive education about the seasonal color collections. Upon her return she does an in-salon class the Designing Minds team and also educates for the BES company across the United States and at the International Beauty Show in New York City. Holly also does color education for Mem Salon Systems and has worked with Michael O’Rourke, the founder and CEO of Sexy Hair Concepts.

Along with in-salon education program at Designing Minds, Holly and the Designing Minds team travel to shows, seminars, and various advanced trainings as frequently as possible.

While Holly has focused her 24 year career on hairstyling, primarily in the areas of color and education, she expanded her business in December of 2003 in include day spa services such as manicures/pedicures, facials, bodywraps, full body waxing, and massage therapy.

Leigh Ann Houser
Certified Cosmetologist
Leigh is a graduate of Kittanning Beauty School and has been employed with Designing Minds since 1995. Leigh works in all facets of the salon and day spa, providing clients with all types of fashion-forward hairstyling, including color and precision cuts, a full range of nail services working with both natural and acrylic nails, and other services such as facials, waxing, and body wraps.

Leigh has continued with her education in the beauty industry through attendance at various hair shows and by taking the in-salon education provided to all member of the Designing Minds team. She has also traveled to Milan, Italy, to study at the BES Hair Color Academy, has worked as a colorist with Michael O’Rourke, the founder of Sexy Hair Concepts and has taken advanced training with Biomaris USA, a skin care company based on nutrients from the sea.

Angie Beatty
Certified Cosmetologist
Angie is a member of the first graduating class of the Bella Capelli Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. While at Bella Capelli, she received training from John Paul Dejoria, the CEO of Paul Mitchell Systems, and also attended some major events in the beauty industry, such as the International Beauty Show in New York City and make-up application classes give by M.A.C. Cosmetics.

Angie began working at Designing Minds while she was still a student and has been a part of the team for two years. She has participated in various hair shows, including working with companies such as Sexy Hair Concepts and BES, and has taken advanced education from them as well. She has also taken education from Paul Mitchell, Graham Webb, Eufora, Hage and Pweology, all leaders in the beauty industry.

Along with providing a full range of hairstyling services, Angie also does pedicures, and manicures, facials, and facial waxing.

Jessica R. Renfrew
Certified Cosmetologist
After graduating form Brookville Area High School, she was employed at Wal-Mart of Clarion, where she worked a few years before attending DuBois Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology. While attending cosmetology school she went to the New York City Hair Show and graduated PACAS with a license in cosmetology. She obtained employment with Highbrow Hare in Brookville, Pennsylvania, upon completion of her degree.

While working in Brookville she attended the Seven Springs Hair Show and participated in many classes. After getting married she moved to Knox, Pennsylvania, with her husband and is currently employed with Designing Minds of Clarion and has completed education from Biomaris, Eufora, Graham Webb, Paul Mitchell, and Bed Head product knowledge and has attended Sexy Concepts Hair Show along with other classes in facials, bodywraps, etc.

Desiree P. Zeller
Massage Therapist
Desiree discovered her interest in massage therapy, ten years ago, during her self-study of reflexology and tthe body’s fascinating ability to heal itself. She believes that massage enhances the body’s natural healing abilities. Achieving an optimal healthy life-style, naturally, is one of Desiree’s life-long goals.

Currently, Desiree is a senior at the Ohio College of Massotherapy (OCM) of Akron, Ohio. She has completed the requirements for the certificate program and is now completing OCM’s diploma program. She has been educated in the areas of human physiology, anatomy, and a variety of massage techniques and styles. Desiree has experience performing massage in OCM’s massage clinic, as well as Falls Massage, LLC of Cuyhoga Falls, Ohio.

Previous to her massage therapy studies, Desiree graduated from Kent University, of Kent, Ohio, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Leisure Service Management. She has held management positions in both the Hotel and Fitness Industries. Her extensive experience in the service industry has made her sensitive and attentive to individual’s needs.

Desiree plans to gain additional knowledge of the bodywork profession through continuing education programs and personal research.
